Many people do not find their work satisfactory or even hate it, many people wish to start their own business. There are many barriers to success. However, many people feel they cannot overcome the obstacles that come with starting their own business. This is the best time to start your own business venture.

Most entrepreneurs possess a huge amount of knowledge and many kinds of support and even reduced startup costs. But for many, it’s not as simple as it seems, there are many barriers that need to be overcome.

1. Having no money can be a barrier to success in your business

Many people who work on payroll often find it hard to save enough money to start their own business. This is one big hindrance that is faced by entrepreneurs; which often leads to them giving up on their dreams of having their own business venture.

You don’t need an office immediately after starting your own business; this can help you grow gradually however, you have to start small. You can create a successful business by bootstrapping in the beginning. It’s okay if you don’t have huge amounts of funds ready at hand to spend on your business; you can start your business virtually which doesn’t cost you a penny.

2. Using time as an excuse

This is one of the most common thoughts that come to a person’s mind while considering starting a business. Lack of time can be challenging for everyone, especially in the highly driven and high pressured world. If you’re someone with a full-time job or trying to launch your own source of income by starting your own business; time is a resource that can be in control. If you plan on becoming a successful business owner; one barrier to success is that you need to realize the importance of time and that your start-up will require most of your time and energy. This also means that there will be sacrifices you will need to make.

If you are determined for your business; then you must be willing to give up on vacation time or even weekends. You also need to understand that you might need to start working early in the morning; and perhaps late at night to build momentum; in this way, the lack of time will no longer be a barrier to success.

3. No “Health Benefits Nightmare”

If you’ve decided to quit your job and start your own business venture, one of your biggest nightmares will be living without health benefits. This can affect you more if you have a family to support as well. If you’re young and single, letting go of health benefits might not be a big deal for you. But if you’re someone with a family, this can also be a barrier to success; you can consider looking into health insurance plans which are specifically designed for small business owners.

4. No “Family Support” barrier to success

The most difficult step is to finally quit your job and pursue your dream of having your own business venture. The thought of having no job at the back end can be challenging but without the support of friends and family, it can become more difficult.

First of all, you need to be clear about your business plan; make a marketing strategy that makes your idea look like a solid business plan. To win the support of your family and friends; you need to take time to clearly explain and convince them of your idea.

If you explain or show them how you have carefully put thought into this idea and have thought through the process and the risks; they will understand that you know what you’re aiming for and become supportive.

5. No Confidence in Your Abilities

When you finally decide that it’s time to start your business. You need to sit and think deeply, and most likely you will find that the reasons for not starting a business; are not actual reasons but excuses that mentally keep you delaying. You need to have enough confidence in yourself and in your idea. Many big entrepreneurs have said that the fear of starting their own business became their biggest motivation. Don’t let fear become a barrier to your success in business. You need to understand that fear can be beaten every day.
